Alhambra, Generalife and Albayzín
And Flamenco
Today we visited Alhambra and Generalife, one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world.
We were both surprised and impressed by the enormity of the place, we thought it was a fortress but found out it was a city, palaces and a garden! It was an amazing place.
But, being situated on two adjacent hills there was a lot of walking with a long way up and a long way down.
To regain some energy we stopped for some Turkish kebap on our way back to the hotel, it was great, almost exactly as Swedish kebab!

In the evening we walked up, up and up on the narrow cobbled streets to the Albaicín neighborhood where we were to have dinner and see a Flamenco show at Tablao Flamenco Jardines de Zoraya.
The food was better than expected being a touristy place and the show was really great!
On the way back down to the hotel we once again got to navigate the narrow cobbled streets and also got some great views of Alhambra on the way.
