Cathedral and Albayzín
More walking
Started the day with a visit to the gym followed by breakfast. We then walked across the street to the Cathedral. Luckily we had pre-purchased tickets so we could bypass the huge huge line to the ticket office.
The cathedral was very impressive and gigantic (doesnt show in photos unless you check the size of the people!) with large white pillars on the inside, they definately know how to build back in the days!
The floats for tomorrows Magna parade (assescion procession (himmelsfärd) Catholic holiday) were all positioned inside the Cathedral and there were tons of people there just to see the floats.
We were also supposed to visit the Royal Chapel but they did not have a fast lane for pre-bought tickets and we did not want to stand in a 1-2 hour line to see some coffins. Visiting Cathedrals and such on a Catholic holiday is not recommended! (but there is no info to be found online about it in english so we had no clue)
So we went for lunch instead!

When we got back to the hotel to pick up our backpaks before the afternoon excursions, we found a note and a cake from the hotel staff!
Since we skipped dessert it was perfect timing!

With our water bottles in hand we once again set out to climb the hill to get to the Albayzín neighbourhood. It's a very cool path up the hill with narrow winding streets, paved with intricate stone patterns climbing the hill like a maze.
Todays goal was to get to Mirador de San Nicholas, a view point with the best views of Alhambra and Generalife.

A bit funny that we yesterday stood on the other side looking at all the people at Mirador de San Nicholas looking at Alhambra!
