It was time to drive to our final destination, Madrid!
We had a couple of hours of roadtrip ahead off us and we stocked up on picnic food yesterday evening so we were all set! We alternated driving and stopped for lunch around noon at a random side road along the way!

Once we reached Madrid, we returned the car at the airport and took a taxi to the hotel.
Once we settled in we left the hotel and set sight on Plaza Mayor.
And, when in the area we had to stop by Chocolatería San Ginés, the famous cafe that has served Churros with chocolate since 1894! The line wasnt too bad so we got ourself some great tasting churros and porras (churros chonky cousin)!

Now that dessert was taken care off we set off to Mercado de San Miguel for some food. We settled for some cava, pinchos and patatas bravas!
